Butlers Wharf – Project Development
This transformative project seeks to enhance the original infrastructure of the wharf through industrial design languages, paying homage to its metallurgical and shipping past.
Working closely with the architect we were given the opportunity to experiment with techniques for producing patination on panels for kitchen units and shelving capping
The lighting helped accentuate the texture on the metalwork – causing feature to be lit up as well as adding a cast shadow to other elements
The shelving patination was achieved through a chemical bluing process – this produces a subtle blue colour
All these elements helped tie the whole project together
